Bird Watching – Springbrook with it’s abundance of indigenous flora and fauna is an ideal destination for bird watchers. Several clubs can assist if you want to get involved, including Lloyd Neilsen’s Birding Australia, Web Directory of Australian Birdwatching.

Bushwalking – Springbrook is famous for it’s bushwalking, featuring numerous waterfalls and some of the best rainforest walks in South East Queensland. A number of walks start at the Purlingbrook Falls Picnic area, across the road from the cottage, including the Purling Brook Falls circuit and the Warrie Circuit.
